 Dasylio means "little forest" in Greek and that can be understood when someone takes a glimpse into that wonderful romantic beach. Surrounded by pine trees and beautiful greenery this Greek island can grasp your attention and interest.Dasylio camping beach has clean shallow waters, at its most parts, with thin sand ideal for swimming for both individuals and families. In its beginning the waters get deep quite fast but in most of its parts the sea is quite shallow. Along the shoreline there are about five beach bars that provide you with coctails, refresments, ice cream and light snacks. In one of the bars there is also a net for beach volley ideal for beach volley lovers where you can meet many of the Thassos youth that go there. By that bar you can practice your canoeing skills and have a refreshing drink. What's more, just a few metres after you've played volley and done your canoeing there is the biggest camping in Thassos which a few years ago was awarded as the third best camping in the Balkans.This part of Thassos romantic greek island is literally so near the sea that you can even sleep with your feet in the water. And after your swim in this magnificent beach at the camping you can take a shower using the facilities for free and then if you wish have a drink at the camping beach bar. Dasylio beach is in Scala Prinos on the upper western coast at one of the two ports of Thassos Greek island and the only port that can be reached by ferry boat from Kavala.
