The Nest
The greek islands taverna for all is The Nest.
It is located in the village Skala Prinos in Thassos and this is our place! My family built this greek taverna and have been working in The Nest for 21 years. Here is a picture with friends of The Nest and me on the right  It was because of love for the greek cuisine that made them start this taverna.  We have served countless people in our greek taverna and meeting new people is always brilliant. Lots of our customers have been travelling to Greece for years and Thassos is the place where they come back again and again.
Doreen and Ivor(Punch)Davies from Kenilworth Warickshire have been coming in Thassos for about 10 years twice a year We have made lots of friends and indeed some of the people we met are now like family. The customers really like the fact that our meals are homemade and fresh. My parents that do the cooking never liked quick and frozen pre-cooked meals so they cook everything from scratch. Here is "Big" John's party. Coming every year in Thassos My dad wakes up early every morning to go and find fresh thassos island meat and fish as well as vegetables of Thassos for our meals and salads. And of course Thassos olive oil is a basic ingredient in our cuisine. Thassos produces everything you need for great greek meals. Friends from Thessaloniki and all over the world We are also the only greek islands taverna in our resort that barbeques meat and fish on real charcoal and NOT on an electric or gass grill.It is much more dificult and challenging this way but the food tastes so much better. Bob and Carol is a couple that has been coming for about 6 years to Thassos, were married on the island and now have bought their own Thassos Home  More friends The secret in our cuisine, however, is the love for cooking and the love for the people that we serve. That's what has helped us enjoy our work and at the same time offer quality food to our customers.
